Hilarious. katharineholt: A label on a bag of frozen “Siberian collection” pelmeni (dumplings) in the grocery store that compares grams of dumpling to karats of diamond. And by label, I really mean small booklet, as each minimally designed black sack of dumplings comes with a multi-page, glossy explanation of the product’s relationship to jewelry. I have to hand it to the marketing team here, since Russians do seem to love elite packaging and diamonds but have not lost their taste for folk food or frozen dinners.
